CoD: Warzone 2 DMZ Season 3 Includes Barter System, Workbenches and New Vests

Season 3 of Call of Duty: Warzone 2 comes out on April 12, and in a new blog post, Activision talks about some big changes coming to DMZ mode, like new vests and backpacks. Season 2 of DMZ changed the mode a lot, but Season 3 will have some of the best changes yet.

The armor vests and backpacks in DMZ have changed a lot. This is one of the most important changes. Backpacks in Season 3 will come in two types: secure and scavenge. Both can be used to carry items.

Activision says that secure backpacks let players store “non-Contraband, non-on-soldier items” in their inventory that will turn into XP when they are extracted. This means that random lootable valuables and mission items can be stored in a secure backpack.

Also, if an Active Duty Soldier is klled in an Extraction Zone, their things are kept safe in a backpack. As the name suggests, scavenge backpacks just give players who want to do a lot of scavenging more places to put their items.

Do you know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Season 3 and Warzone will be available on all platforms? The update will come out at the same time in all regions. Have a look at our coverage of the release date, as well as the information regarding when it will be available:

The blog says that in Season 3, the armored plate vest in DMZ will come in four different styles, so players can choose one that fits their play style.

Tempered: It works the same way as the tempered plate carrier in Warzone 1. The armor of a player will be two half-bars instead of three-thirds. This will make it easier and faster to re-plate after a fight.

Revive: A three-plate medic vest speeds up both reviving teammates and revive yourself with a self-revive kit.

Comms: A three-plate communications vest is like a signal booster. It makes all UAV technology in the DMZ last longer, including kllstreaks, UAV towers, and enemy radios dropped by AI. It also makes them work like Advanced UAVs, so they can show players where they are and where they are going.

Stealth: The Ghost perk is built into the stealth plate carrier. This keeps players off of enemy radars.

In DMZ, Season 3 adds a new way to trade items for those who like to play like scavengers. This isn’t trading between players, it’s more like swapping goods at a Buy Station. Bartering in DMZ is done with “recipes,” which are lists of the parts needed to make new equipment from items found on the map.

You can find these new recipes at the Buy Stations all over the maps. When Season 3 starts, there will be recipes for some of the new DMZ plate carriers, backpacks, kllstreaks, self-revive kits, and keys. But Building 21 and Ashika Island will each have a different set of barter options at their Buy Stations. This means that players might have to leave the map to get a certain item.

Activision says that Season 3 will bring dozens of new ways to trade items. These are set recipes that can be learned and shared with teammates to make it easier to find certain items.

In Season 3, you will also be able to make recipes and use a workbench. The workbenches in the DMZ will be new places near Buy Stations. With this new feature, players will be able to change the way their contraband weapons work. Players can spend money to add or remove attachments, making the weapon more or less what they want it to be.

The Rebreather and the Skeleton Key are two more helpful items that will be added to the game in the new season. The Rebreather, the air tank item from the first Raid episode of Modern Warfare 2, will be added as a field upgrade in DMZ Season 3. This will help players who are looking for treasure underwater or who want to get out of the water.

The Skeleton Key is a key that can open any door in DMZ, except for the Access Keycard in Building 21. Activision says that players can’t use it to unlock Building 21 for deployment, but they can use it to open any door in Building 21 or the other Exclusion Zones that need a keycard or key. The only way to make a Skeleton Key is to follow a special barter recipe.
