Big Mom’s skin was established as incredibly resilient in the Whole Cake Island arc. The youthful pirates were not ready to surrender their guns just yet. They could change the tide when they began to employ their Devil Fruit Awakenings. Law was primarily successful in hurting Big Mom because he could pierce through her armour with Ope Ope no Mi.
There will be no more restraint on the part of the queen of Totto Land; she will make sure that both Law and Kid know what’s at stake.
