In honour of the 20th anniversary of the Naruto anime series, developer CyberConnect2 Co and publisher Bandai Namco have created Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections, the latest entry in the Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm arean-fighter series.
Over 130 playable characters are available, and their interactions with one another determine the effectiveness of their winning finishing moves and the ensuing brand-new anime cinematics.
For the first time, fans may relive pivotal moments from Naruto’s life, from his childhood to his final battle with Sasuke, all in the context of exciting in-game combat in Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.
The emotional impact is spot-on, and it’s one that new and old fans will recognize immediately. However, the game isn’t solely focused on looking back in time. Players are pushed to dive into an all-new story in Naruto X Boruto Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections.
All this can be viewed in stunning new detail by previous Ultimate Ninja STORM games fans, who can also play as more fan-favourite characters than ever. For such a momentous occasion, Bandai Namco spared no expense.
While the entire cast has yet to be announced, we know that Naruto and Sasuke (from both the original series and Boruto), Boruto and Kawaki, and the Otsutsuki brothers, Ashura and Indra, will be playable characters.
A high skill ceiling might make fighting games challenging for beginner players. While the regular scheme ensures that the challenge is maintained for the veteran players, the implementation of simple button mapping akin to Street Fighter 6’s Dynamic Controls makes the game accessible to those who have never played a fighting game before or who have been away from the genre for some time.
