According to the report, the military’s advanced light helicopter (ALH) Dhruv is fitted now with an elevated control system to enhance airworthiness. In April 2023, a top government regulatory body accountable for the certificate of the airworthiness of military aircraft ordered the structure review of the locally made choppers. HAL helicopter complex CEO S Anbuvelan informed that Dhruv designer Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) has been providing power rods created of steel instead of aluminum to ALH squadrons and this would enhance flight security. HAL has delivered control rods for 120 Dhruv helicopters to various companies. The transformations in the chopper’s design have been necessary as the Indian armed forces operate almost 330 twin-engine ALHs. As far as we know, the Army dropped the “Dhruv” advanced light helicopter after it hit. This tragic accident happened in Jammu and Kashmir in May 2023. The collision of the Army ALH Mark-III in Kishtwar, J&K had been the fourth major mishap of the helicopter in more than six months. In this accident, one soldier and two pilots lost their lives.
