Diablo 4 Patch Addresses Druid Loot Issues – Glitch Extremely Unlikely to Occur Again

It’s good news for Druids in Diablo 4: they’ll no longer accidentally acquire Unique items intended for other classes. Since the release of Diablo 4, Blizzard’s developers have had their hands full addressing a number of issues.

However, a number of bugs have confused and frustrated the player base, such as the loot error that caused Druid players to receive Barbarian Unique weapons. While Druids could equip these artifacts, the Legendary Aspect associated with each weapon was ineffective.

Other classes enjoyed a carefree grind to endgame in Diablo 4, but Druids had to fret about “wasting” a Legendary drop on a Unique that was not intended for them. Despite the fact that Barbarian players had to endure not having their best Legendary Aspects available at launch due to unforeseen exploits, Druids were actively punished for playing their class for a significantly extended period of time.

It appears that Blizzard Entertainment has successfully resolved the issue with Diablo 4 Hotfix 12. Ancient’s Oath, Hellhammer, and Overkill will no longer be obtainable by Druid players. Those who have Barbarian weapons equipped will be able to retain them, but removing them will render them ineffective.

Did you know that PC users can get BattleBit Remastered update 1.5? According to the official patch notes, the most recent BattleBit Remastered update includes a new map (Namak):

Given that the glitch is extremely unlikely to occur again in the future, it is highly probable that some players will retire their Druids with Barbarian weaponry to preserve their uniqueness in perpetuity. Other improvements include improved stability and performance, which will presumably reduce the stuttering that some Diablo 4 players have been experiencing when traversing the Sanctuary Regions.

In addition, Sorcerer players in Diablo 4 will now be able to apply the bonus damage from Combustion; however, it is extremely likely that Sorcerer will require a much larger buff to compete with other classes at endgame. It is not enjoyable to rely on three Defensive skills for any endgame Sorcerer construct, with Ice Shard being the only viable Core skill.

Season 1 is on the horizon, but the majority of Diablo 4 quality-of-life enhancements are scheduled to debut with Season 2. As pledged during the June 16 Campfire Chat, Resistances will be adjusted to become viable at the endgame, and gems will become crafting materials with auto-loot support.

However, it will take some time to address the larger issues of inventory management and itemization. At least for the time being, all five Diablo 4 classes will have an equal chance to obtain a Legendary item the next time one descends.
