Season 28: Rites Of Sanctuary
For Season 28, Rites of Sanctuary, you’ll discover yourself trekking deep into the strange remnants of the Festering Woods. Amid a hunting expedition, citizens hailing from New Tristram stumble and find a frightening Altar carved from an old substance displaying strange markings.
Shaken to their core by the eldritch odor of the monolith, they’ll seek the support of daring Nephalem willing to investigate this ominous find that was once left to time—the Altar of Rites.
Home to power assumed to be extinct from Sanctuary, the Altar of Rites will bestow these mystic forces upon worthy Nephalem. . .when a sacrifice is offered. You can begin interacting with the Altar of Rites at Level One.
Upon landing at the Altar of Rites, players will notice 26 icons called Seals and three Legendary Potion Powers. Please read on to become acquainted with the components:

Drinking your healing potion will reduce the damage dealt by opponents within 25 yards by 25%. Strength-restoring potions grant you the benefits of a random shrine or pylon when you consume them. As an additional effect, when a primary item is dropped, a random primary item will also be dropped.
Insights Into The Mechanisms Of Seals And Potions
Once you’ve unlocked the first Seal, the order in which you unlock the remaining Seals and get their powers is up to you and how well those powers fit with the rest of your character’s design. Once you have the necessary components, you can open any associated Seals or Legendary Potions, granting you access to their respective powers immediately.
All Seals and Potions are available for unlocking, and their effects will be shared across all of a player’s characters for the duration of Season 28.
Methods for Opening Locks and Making Curses
Even after making numerous sacrifices, unlocking the Seals and Potions will be difficult; you’ll have to search all throughout Sanctuary and kill countless demons who are set on blocking your path to the full power of the Altar of Rites.
In order to use a Seal or Potion, players must first collect the required ingredients from the Altar of Rites menu and sacrifice them. Along with gaining access to the secret power, unlocking also reveals a snippet of background information regarding Sanctuary’s troubled history.

To unlock a Seal, the Seal preceding it must first be unlocked—this does not apply to Seals R, S, and T because of how they’re positioned within the Altar. You can’t get beyond Seal A to get to Seal B or C, for instance.
If you have the necessary materials to sacrifice at the Altar, there is no time limit on how many Seals or Potions you can unlock. No matter what order you use to gain access to Seals and Potions, the following chart will show you how much each will eventually set you back.
