Nintendo produced and published The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild for the Nintendo Switch and Wii U in 2017. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is the final game in the series.

Breath of the Wild 2 Unleashes Its Official Title and Release Date

The release date and title for the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild have been announced. During Tuesday’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the world was introduced to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Since it “may give away too much,” Nintendo had been keeping the name of the BOTW sequel under wraps. Nintendo Switch owners can expect to play the game on May 12, 2023.

Additionally, Nintendo released a new teaser for Tears of the Kingdom, which showcases Link’s newfound ability to soar across the Hylian air. A trailer released in June for E3 2021 showcased Link’s new abilities, including his ability to soar through the sky of Hyrule.

The announcement of a sequel to Breath of the Wild at E3 2019 was met with excitement and anticipation.
