Kerri Roger, Wappingers Central Teacher Passed Away, What Happened To Her?

As per the reports, Kerri Roger breathed her last on January 11, 2024. According to her family, she died peacefully at the age of 44, after losing a battle with cancer. Yes, her cause of death was cancer. She found esophageal cancer for an extensive period. The tight-knit community of Kerri Roger described her as a beloved teacher, coach, and devoted daughter, sister, and friend. She always lived as a fit person even while dealing with cancer. Kerri was an undaunted ally to her mother. She helped her through her cancer diagnosis, surgery, and care before she passed away.

Kerry Roger was born on May 2, 1979, in Poughkeepsie, NY, to her parents, John and Susan (Halsted) Roger. She was a longtime Girl Scout (who earned Silver and Gold awards). Like Kerri, her parents were longtime local teachers and tireless union advocates. Kerri’s death follows her mother Susan H’s departure. She is survived by her father, John Jr., her brother John A. It is said that visitation will take place at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc. located at 895 Route 82 in Hopewell Junction, where her friends and family members will gather on Monday, January 15, from 2 PM to 6 PM, followed by a funeral ceremony on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, at the Hopewell Reformed Church located at 143 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, at 10 AM and a burial ceremony will also take place at Hopewell Cemetery.
