This Weekend, Ubisoft’s XDefiant Will Receive Cross-Play Test Session

Cross-play insider sessions for XDefiant, a new free-to-play shooter from Ubisoft, will begin this week. As on February 16th, cross-play will be available, allowing players to play together regardless of whether they own a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, or PC. The beta test will run through February 20 and will center on ensuring cross-play connection and improving the controller experience.

Four game modes and thirteen maps will be available in the inaugural XDefiant insider session in 2023. If you want to join the test session, you’ll need to sign a non-disclosure agreement that prevents you from posting any gameplay videos online. As a result, you shouldn’t share your gameplay with others or broadcast it online.

Previous playtest sessions were just 3 hours long, but this one will be much longer. Everyone will have 15 minutes to get warmed up and acquainted with the rules of the game before the contests begin.

Ubisoft has also warned attendees of the forthcoming insider session that they would be exposed to a number of bugs because the game is still in development. Because of a glitch, the cleaner’s faction wasn’t included in the evaluation.

The first mention of XDefiant dates back to the year 2021. XDefiant’s development has continued even though Ubisoft has shelved a number of free-to-play projects in recent years. No release date has been set yet, but the team has held many testing sessions to obtain player input. Although the PS4 and Xbox One won’t be supported during the forthcoming insider session, you can play XDefiant on those systems when it releases.

In XDefiant, players join one of several different factions, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages in the multiplayer shooter. The first-person shooter also has multiple game modes, with each mode giving players a unique set of goals to accomplish in order to come out on top.
