Breaking News: The government of Chennai has announced a school holiday for today because of the heavy rainfall forecast. All the schools in Chennai are closed today. The Chennai District Administration has officially announced that all the schools in Chennai are going to be shut down because of the heavy rainfall forecast. Regarding the heavy rainfall, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has officially issued an orange alert for the entire Tamil Nadu warning directing the government authorities to stay alert. As per the regional meteorological center in Chennai, the spell of rainfall is going to be till 7th November 2023. The situation in Tamil Nadu, Chennai is very bad as there is a big risk of going outside of their homes so we suggest all the residents of Chennai stay inside your house.

According to the weather departments, the trough over the Bay of Bengal off the Tamil Nadu coast has now triggered that it has widespread rainfall in the southern state. This might influence the rain to go up the intensity from 11.5 to 20.4 cm in areas such as Thoothukudi, Ramanathapuram, Kanniyakumari, and Coimbatore on 4th November 2023, Saturday.
