Fans eager to get their hands on the new “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor” video game next month will have to wait a little longer; the studio has announced a delay and sets a new release date of April 28, 2023.
Fans of space opera video games can’t wait to get their hands on “Star Wars Jedi: Survivor,” the highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s “Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order” developed by Respawn Entertainment, Electronic Arts, and Lucasfilm Games.
It’s a thrilling continuation of the narrative of rogue Jedi Cal Kestis’ fight against the Galactic Empire in the wake of the evil Jedi eradication scheme known as Order 66.
The testing phases of a high-profile video game, even one based on a billion-dollar intellectual property like “Star Wars,” often reveal faults that need to be fixed before the game is released to the public.

For the most part, “Survivor” is a solo adventure that chronicles the efforts of the determined Jedi Knight Cal Kestis and his trusty droid companion BD-1 as they battle Imperial soldiers and try to protect the galaxy from an unknown threat. Cal teams up with new companions including the mercenary Bode Akuna and his former crewmate Cere Junda as they traverse the spaceways in an effort to evade the relentless fury of the Empire.
Look at this quick overview of the gameplay:
“Continue Cal’s Journey — No longer a Padawan, Cal has come into his own and grown into a powerful Jedi Knight. Carrying the memories and expectations of the Jedi Order with him, his crusade against the Empire has only become more perilous. The Dark Times are closing in — with enemies new and familiar surrounding him, Cal will need to decide how far he’s willing to go to save those closest to him.”
