Moving Out 2, the follow-up to SMG Studio and DevM Games’ award-winning couch-moving, couch-co-op game from 2020, is scheduled for release on August 15, 2023, for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
New characters, levels, and challenges will be featured in the game. Again, players will be tasked with moving furniture around homes, but this time they will face new obstacles, such as exploding televisions and lava pits. The game will also include a new cooperative mode in which players can relocate furniture together.

In Moving Out, players assume the role of movers, transferring marked furniture and appliances (such as couches, refrigerators, and microwaves) from a home to a moving truck within a set amount of time. Along the path, one may encounter obstacles such as rakes, fires, ice, and even spirits.
Some objects are so heavy that they require two people to carry them, while others are fragile and can be easily broken. Objects can be thrown. On a scale of bronze, silver, and gold, players are evaluated according to the speed with which they pack the moving truck.
