Mastaney Total Box Office Collection Worldwide, Cast, Budget, Hit Or Flop

Earlier Carry On Jatta 3 and now Mastaney, are the two Punjabi films that raised the bar of the Punjabi Film Industry significantly. According to the latest reports, Mastaney has emerged as the second-highest-grossing film only behind Carry On Jatta 3 which was actually a juggernaut at the box office. However, it can not be ignored that Carry On Jatta 3’s star-studded cast and the reputation of the franchise that the film carried with itself, helped in pulling the audience to the theaters. But Mastaney is a new religious-historical film that has grossed more than INR 70 crore at the worldwide box office in its first two weeks.

As mentioned, Mastaney has emerged as the second highest-grossing film in the Punjabi Film Industry, it has been a termed as blockbuster in its second week. The film is now marching toward the Rs 100 Crore club. Two months ago, Carry On Jatta scripted history by collecting Rs 100 Crore worldwide, now Mastaney is all set to join the Rs 100-crore club. According to trade analysts, Mastaney collected INR 28 Crores in India and became the 5th-highest Punjabi film in India after Carry On Jatta 3, Carry On Jatta 2, Saunkan Saunkne, and Shadaa.

Ahead of the release of Mastaney, many trade analysts and critics predicted that Mastaney would be wiped away by the storm of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan but the film proved all speculations and predictions by critics and trade analysts completely wrong by collecting a big hit on its third Friday which has indicated that Mastaney will add more INRs in its life-time box office collection. If Mastaney had not faced juggernaut #Jawan at the box office, it might have already collected Rs 100 crores. Nevertheless, Mastaney is still a blockbuster. The film is also sensationally trading in overseas markets.

Mastaney Star Cast

Mastaney is a Punjabi historical action drama movie starring Tarsem Jassar and Gurpreet Ghuggi in the lead roles. Simi Chahal and Karamjit Anmol are also in the supporting roles in the film. The plot of the film tells the backdrop of 1739 when Nader Shah’s tough army faced an unpredictable assault by Sikh rebels. Nader initially seeks their arrest, but his plans unravel. To tackle the situation, five men portray Sikh rebels leading to a transformative journey as they find the true essence of Sikhism over time. Mastaney was released in the theaters on August 25, 2023, and distributed by Omjee Cine World. Stay tuned.
