Fly ash has been residue from burning coal to heat boilers of thermal power plants. The fine particulate issue is a main guideline for its proper disposal by power plants and permitting its use in closed road projects. The consensus came between MoRTH and the Ministry of Power, that the first collections of fly ash would be provided to road and highway tasks for which requests had been received between January 2016 and December 2021, so that these do not face any further delays.

As far as we know, MoRTH is going to provide a list of highway tasks bid out during the time to the Ministry of Power.
