Best Places to Farm Elden Ring Runes for Rapid Leveling

The entrance to Mohgwhyn’s Palace is undoubtedly the best Elden Ring Rune farming site, where you may easily harvest 40,000 Runes every few minutes! In addition, this region is easily accessible, so you can begin rune farming relatively early in the game. And it’s just one of many – no matter where you are in Elden Ring, we can locate you a place to begin rune farming.

When you need a respite from attempting to progress through higher-level areas, these farming locations are ideal for grinding. In addition to the 40k location, there are a number of other locations that almost grant runes for discovering them. Especially in the beginning phases, every little bit helps. Additionally, there are unique items and talismans that can augment the runes you earn. If you have sufficient knowledge, you can dramatically increase the rate at which you obtain glyphs in Elden Ring.

Runes must be earned in the majority of cases, and the finest farming locations are difficult to access. Utilizing the earlier, simpler rune farming locations to level up and make it easier to reach the larger ones is the optimal strategy. So, next up, we have the finest 40K Elden Ring rune farm, where to locate it, a list of some other decent areas, and some hints, talismans, and more to speed up your leveling.

Elden Ring 40000 Rune Farm

The finest Elden ring rune farming spot will get you 40,000 Runes in just a few minutes. Equip the Golden Scarab described below to increase your earnings. It takes some effort to get there, but you only have to do it once because a Site of Grace lets you drop in whenever you want after you find it and reset things so you can farm a 40K payment repeatedly in minutes. There are a few guards to contend with, but the majority of the enemies are passive as you work your way through them, killing them one by one to amass rewards.

The medal of the Pureblood Knight will transport you to an underground area known as Mohgwhyn’s Palace (don’t fret about what Varre says, you can use the medal as often as you like). To reach the farming area, you must ride quickly to a specific location, do not stop, as this is a dangerous area and you will likely perish if you do. Mark this area on the map, summon Torrent, and gallop as fast as you can:

You will travel east through a forest and into a canyon with what appears to be a blood river flowing through it. Follow the path uphill, past a large number of rag-clad figures seated on the ground, and you should reach a Site of Grace. Activate it and you will be prepared to begin cultivating.

On the slope leading up to the Site of Grace, a group of snoozing Albinaurics worth 2,000 Runes each can be found. They do not respond until you assault them, and even then, only the target will awaken. When you get near, four guards will attack you, but their attacks are slow and easy to avoid, and they can be dealt with individually.

Did you know that in Raid: Shadow Legends, you may need to spend money on characters, cosmetics, and other items? Obviously, this is not a viable option for every player, which is why Raid: Shadow Legends provides promotional codes redeemable for free characters, XP Boost, energy, and more:

Start with backstabs to maximize your damage at a low level, but as you level up, you’ll be able to cut away. Regardless of your level, you can earn 40,000 runes every 2 to 3 minutes from this location, then reset it by resting at the Site of Grace.

Other Elden Ring Rune Farming Locations

Depending on your current level, the best locations to farm in Elden Ring will differ. As you level up, the number of Runes required to reach the next level increases, creating a wider and wider gap. But fortunately, as you progress through the game, enemies become tougher and drop more Runes.

Because of this, we’ve divided the game into four excellent farming locations for players at various levels, as shown on the map above and discussed in greater detail below.

Trolls on the Stormgate (early-game farming) – This one is quite basic, but it is a little risky for beginner players. The massive, hairy trolls on the cliffs north of the Stormgate release approximately 1,000 Runes upon death, and while they are powerful attackers, they are also very slow. If you can effectively space them out and defeat them one by one, you can amass a large pool of Runes in preparation for bosses like Margit and Godrick.

War for Castle Redmane (early to mid-game farming) – The simplest farming location on this list is Castle Redmane, located in Southern Caelid. You don’t actually need to go inside though, there are fire-wielding knights and monstrous dogs battling in front of the castle, and you can simply watch them kill each other while you automatically acquire Runes.

Head to the Grace Site of the Impassable Greatbridge, then simply ride up the hill and observe them fight. Then you can cycle through and eliminate the weaker survivors, earning roughly 2,000 to 3,000 Runes with minimal effort.

Party-crashing in Windmill Village (middle- to late-game farming) – This is an excellent one: head to the northern coast of the Altus Plateau to discover Dominula, Windmill Village, a surreal, Midsommar-like village. It is teeming with dancing natives who only attack when you get too close and release a large number of Runes.

There is a boss at the summit named Godskin Apostle, but clearing out the residents will net you approximately 7,000 Runes in a matter of minutes. Then rapidly respawn them and repeat the process!

Backstabbing at the Haligtree (late-game farming) – Okay, we have not yet updated our map model, but the area is still accurate and the underlying principle remains sound. If you have unlocked the optional Haligtree area, you are aware that it is generally quite difficult.

However, if you proceed halfway down to the Prayer Room Site of Grace, then take the door to the north, you can run down the parapets, backstabbing many foes who are looking out to sea or simply slicing through the relatively easy knights and footsoldiers, who each drop 2,000 to 3,000 Runes.

Some of them even self-destruct in an attempt to stop you, meaning that a few minutes of combat can net you 40,000 or more Runes. Simply fight your way down and fast travel back to the Prayer Room when you sense your Runes are in jeopardy (we recommend this before you face either the two Cleanrot Knights or the Erdtree Avatar, depending on your path).
