Dredge’s New Features Make It More Relaxing and Fun

Black Salt Games’ Dredge has been updated on PS5, PS4 with a Photo Mode and an all-new Passive Mode that removes horror elements and creatures from the fishing experience. The update is currently available for free installation.

To begin using Photo Mode, you must locate a specific piece of equipment in the ocean and then give it to a new islander. It sounds like a cool side quest if you have to labor a bit for the new feature.

As for the Passive Mode, this choice is for “those cosy gamers who want to avoid the biggest nasties in Dredge and lean into the game’s laid-back fishing gameplay while avoiding the more sinister side of the adventure”. In addition, the update adds 10 new fish to capture, along with their associated aberrations, as well as more wildlife events and an additional deep-sea monster.

Dredge Adds Photo Mode and Passive Mode

Did you know that Capcom is “considering how to approach” future Mega Man game development? In recent years, a number of compilations of prior Mega Man games have been released, but there have been few entirely new installments:

We praised the game’s “simple but compelling gameplay” cycle, its progression, and its unique visual style. In the coming months, a free update that adds boat paint will be released, followed by a paid DLC at the end of the year.

Dredge has also posted the information to its Twitter feed –

The passive mode in Dredge is an excellent method to enjoy the game’s story and fishing without fear of being attacked by its creatures. If you’re seeking a more soothing experience, I strongly suggest you give it a shot. How do you feel about the passive mode? Please let us know in the comments!
