This act of David DePape resulted in his arrest and front-page headlines as he was found guilty of two counts of assaulting a federal official and attempting to kidnap a federal official. For the felony charges against David DePape, he could have a maximum sentence of 30 years and 20 years respectively.
This incident sent shockwaves through Washington. Reportedly, David DePape invaded Nancy’s San Fransico home to kidnap her and held her hostage but at that time she was in Washington while her husband Paul Pelosi was at home and tried to confront David DePape who was with a dangerous weapon at that time.
