China and India granted visa-free entry to Malaysia

On 26th November 2023, Sunday, the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Anwar Ibrahim officially announced that the Indian nations might not stay for more than 30 days visa-free in Malaysia. Now Malaysia has become the 59th country to allow Indians visa-free entry. But India is not an alone country which is now allowed visa-free in Malaysia. Malaysia has allowed visa-free for Chinese people also.

According to the source, India is allowed visa-free in a total of 30 countries. Now Indian people can visit without a visit in 30 countries which are Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Micronesia, Tunisia, Macao (SAR China), Kazakhstan, Trinidad and Tobago, Oman, Dominica, Qatar, El Salvador, Senegal, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Fiji, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Grenada, Sir Lanka, Haiti, Jamaica, Cook Islands, Niue, Nepal, Bhutan, Mauritius, Albania, Barbados, Montserrat, and the British Virgin Islands. It has been announced by the PM of Malaysia that the change is going to be implemented from 1st December 2023 for all Indian and Chinese visitors.

Currently, the Malaysian tourist e-visa for Indian visitors costs around Rs. 3,799 per person. According to the new visa-free rule, now Indian visitors can stay for more than 30 days without a visa in Malaysia. The security screening is going to continue for Indian nationals also. The visa-free plan has been put in place to increase the inflow of tourists from India and China. At this time India and China are the two big markets for Malaysia. It has been announced that Malaysia is currently looking at some more investors from India and China.
