Canada travel advisory, warns of ‘Anti-Canada Protests, harassment’ in India

Now Canada has officially updated their travel advisory for the citizens of Canada who are living in India. The Prime Minister of Canada, Justin Trudeau has now given a warning to the the residents of Canada who are in India right now. He has given a warning that there is a possibility of anti-Canada protests as well as harassment and intimidation. Some days ago Canada made an allegation against India in which they claimed that Indian raw agents are involved in the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Najjar in July 2023. And India gave a firm reply to them by denying this allegation. Since then there is a very diplomatic tension between these two countries.

Because of the diplomatic tension between Canada and India, the move has been cited to New Delhi, India threatening to revoke their immunity. Because of the allegation Ottawa has withdrawn a total of 41 diplomats from India. As per the reports, there has been a big warning to the Consulates General of Canada in Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Bengaluru as there is going to be a suspension in the person operations temporarily. From now the citizen of Canada and the Canadian consular who are in India right now they have to access the New Delhi High Commission of Canada.

According to the source, the advisory which is under the Safety and Security section has now cited the current developments in Canada and India. And there are also some calls regarding the protest and negative sentiment toward the traditional media in Canada. Also, it has been informed by Foreign Minister Melaine Joly that a total of 41 of Canada’s 62 diplomats in India have been officially removed.
