Radha Mitchell (Man on Fire) stars as Rose in Silent Hill, playing a desperate mother who brings her adoptive daughter Sharon to the hamlet of Silent Hill, hoping to cure her illness. The film is based on the best-selling horror action game. Sharon disappears after a terrible vehicle accident, prompting Rose to launch a desperate attempt to find her.
She ventures into the heart of the warped reality, a town’s horrible secret, down into a haze of ash and smoke. While chased by horribly deformed animals and a city locked in purgatory, Rose begins to piece together what happened 30 years ago when a catastrophic fire destroyed the town.

Konami has announced on the newly created Silent Hill website that fans of the horror franchise should mark October 19, 2022, at 2 pm PT/5 pm ET/10 pm BST on their calendars. An accompanying tweet announcing the website reads, “Do you ever dream about that city when you can’t sleep? On Wednesday, October 19 at 2:00 pm PDT, the latest updates for the SILENT HILL series will be released at the #SILENTHILL Transmission.”

Masahiro Ito, who had a significant role in the history of Silent Hill and was the art director of games like Silent Hill 2, retweeted the announcement, suggesting that he may be engaged in the series’ future. A return to Silent Hill has been the subject of speculation for some time now. Christophe Gans, director of the last Silent Hill film, has recently stated that “several” games in the series are in the works.
Along with this hint, we have seen screenshots of an unannounced Silent Hill game called The Short Message, heard whispers that Bloober Team is working on a remake of Silent Hill 2, and seen ratings for a game in the series called Silent Hill: The Return.
