Hailing from Lagos, he made a name for himself in the music industry. Initially signed to Naira Marley’s Marlian Records, MohBad decided to leave the label in 2022. He gained widespread recognition for his hit singles, including “Ponmo,” “Feel Good,” and “KPK (Ko Por Ke),” a collaboration with Rexxie. “KPK (Ko Por Ke)” received three nominations at The Headies Awards in 2022. MohBad’s debut album, titled “Light,” was released in the fourth quarter of 2020, following the success of his viral track “Ponmo,” which featured Naira Marley and Lil Kesh. His remarkable talent led to five nominations at The Beatz Awards 2021, and he was acknowledged as one of Audiomack’s top 21 Afrobeat artists in 2021.
