The Razer Naga V2 Hyperspeed and V2 Pro are follow-ups to Razer’s modular gaming mouse designed specifically for MMOs. Both models have a similar design to Razer’s earlier Naga models in the range, but the hardware has undergone some fascinating alterations.
The $99.99 Razer Naga V2 Hyperspeed, which is intended to be the more affordable option, still has the 12 macro buttons under your right thumb, but it also has two additional buttons in the upper-left corner of the mouse, just to the left of your index finger, similar to what we saw with the Razer DeathAdder V2 X. The V2 does not, however, feature a replaceable button panel like the Naga X.

Razer Naga’s signature interchangeable side panel, which lets you switch between two, six, or 12 macro buttons to give it more versatility depending on the game you’re playing, is returning in the more costly Razer Naga V2 Pro, which retails for $179.99.
When playing Apex Legends, twelve buttons might be excessive, but having that option when playing a lightly grind-based MMO like Final Fantasy XIV or World of Warcraft is very amazing. Although the V2 Pro has the option to select how many buttons it has, it does not have the extra pair of buttons that the V2 Hyperspeed does, which seems to be an odd omission.
The Razer HyperScroll wheel, first seen on the Razer Basilisk V2, is also present on the V2 Pro. This wheel enables rapid scrolling by gently flicking it in either direction. However, Razer’s Synapse software will allow users of the Naga V2 Pro to adjust the tension and speed of the scroll wheel.

Both devices offer Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless communication, although Razer chose to power the V2 Hyperspeed using AA batteries rather than an internal rechargeable battery, much like the DeathAdder V2 X. On the other hand, the V2 Pro can be recharged using USB-C and is also compatible with Razer’s brand-new wireless charging technology, which was unveiled alongside the Razer Basilisk V3 Pro. Additionally, the 30K DPI Focus Pro optical sensor and 1000Hz polling rate are shared by the V2 Hyperspeed and V2 Pro.
