According to the New Telegraph, leaked messages suggest that the singer’s death may have been connected to the use of “juju” during a show in Ikorodu, Lagos State. In a surprising text message reportedly related to Aloba, an anonymous individual states: “I was told by someone that they used ‘juju’ on him during the Ikorodu show.”
As per Britannica, “juju” refers to substances believed to possess “magical power.” These substances are commonly used for various purposes, including healing physical and spiritual ailments, but they can also be employed for potentially harmful intentions. Pulse also reported that Aloba was hospitalized due to injuries, but he “allegedly lost consciousness and did not regain it.” Additionally, there are reports suggesting that the singer may have passed away due to a middle ear infection known as Otitis. This condition is characterized by pronounced redness, swelling, and an accumulation of excess fluid in the eardrum, often caused by bacterial or viral infections, as outlined by the Mayo Clinic. It’s essential to emphasize that no official sources have officially confirmed the exact cause of the singer’s death. Aloba was previously associated with Marlian Records but parted ways with the label in 2022, citing alleged disputes with the label’s owner, Naira Marley, as stated by his attorney.
Radio host Oladotun Ojuolape, also known as Do2dtun Energy gAD, posted a recent picture of MohBad with the caption, “MohBad. Just a couple of days ago.” Former Big Brother Naija housemate, Anita Akide, known as Tasha, expressed her shock, recalling, “MohBad was on the Big Friday show with me just last month!!
