Buch is the first woman chairperson who is leading SEBI. She is also the SEBI’s first non-IAS chairperson. She was born in 1966. According to 2023, she is 57 years old. Buch has further explained that the instances where some platforms boasting of their algos are generating 300% annual returns which were found to have the cherry-picked data. Her belief is that making performance claims was vital for the investment advisers so that the client would be attracted because SEBI was pitching toward the performance valuation agency.
