The Karnataka Education Department has scheduled a meeting on 5th October 2023 with the parents, the Association of Private Schools, and the Association of School Vehicles to discuss the new school timings. The decision to change the school timings was prompted by the high court recently. The school timings are going to be changed just to control the traffic in Bengaluru. In this decision, Justice Krishna Dixit and Chief Justice Prasanna Varale claimed that the state government, the secretary of school education and higher education now doing a meeting with the stakeholders, who are the representatives of government and private school institutions. And also doing a meeting with the school bus drivers, and parents’ association to talk about revising school timings so that the traffic in Bengaluru can be controlled.
