After releasing five widgets for the Google app on Wednesday, today we introduced two Lock Screen widgets for Maps. The widgets in Google App version 233.0 include the following descriptions, with two sizes of the Search widget:
- Search: You may use Google Search straight from the locked screen.
- Voice Search: Use your voice to get answers, play music, or browse the web.
- Lens: Image or camera-based search
- Lens shortcuts: Quickly activate the Lens function you care about most. Use your camera to communicate, browse, and do assignments.
The new version 6.40 of Google Maps includes the Search and Frequent Trips widgets, the latter of which shows your current location, anticipated time of arrival, and traffic conditions:
- Frequent Trips: Find out how to get to your destination and how long it will take you.
- Search: Locate businesses such as eateries and gas stations with Google Maps.
Google News, Gmail, Drive, and Chrome all include widgets that serve the same purpose. If you have updated your apps and want to use the devices in the Lock Screen editor, you must first run the updated apps.
