Highlights from Elden Ring Fan Art Landscape Liurnia

Elden Ring: An Elden Ring supporter has made a stunning digital artwork depicting Liurnia, complete with stars, moonlight, and a sense of the mystical. In style matching a book cover or movie poster, the artist shows one of the earliest spots in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring has become an instant classic thanks to its great gameplay, rich mythology, beautiful settings, memorable characters, and phenomenal sales. The Elden Ring, which has won numerous awards, is still a source of inspiration for fans and creators months after its initial release.

The word “beautiful” might not be the first thing that springs to mind when you think of a FromSoftware game because their games are typically set in dreary, sad locales and feature enemies like The Gaping Dragon.

Still, Elden Ring’s expansive world and emphasis on high fantasy ensure that the game’s players can explore some stunning environments. Liurnia Of The Lakes is one such place; it is half-submerged in water, and its trees are always shrouded in mist.

A Reddit member named davidgvaquero has digitally drawn a landscape in stunning detail, evoking a watercolorist’s approach. Liurnia, the site of the enchanted Academy of Raya Lucaria, is reminiscent of a dreamlike landscape painting.

The artwork depicts a figure looking out over an expansive, otherworldly landscape; the moonlight illuminates the Raya above Lucaria, while the night sky is dark and ominous. Raya Lucaria has been shown in art before and by some very skilled artists, but this new take on the subject captures a different, more exciting sense of mystery and exploration.

A user said the piece reminded them of Caspar David Friedrich‘s “Wanderer above the Sea of Fog.” The artist davidgvaquero agrees that this feeling might be felt at the start of Liurnia. In light of FromSoftware’s habit of mining a wide variety of sources for ideas, the game’s visuals could have been influenced by Liurnia.

Although “romantic” is commonly associated with love today, Romantic artists emphasized appreciating the universe and natural environment as a vast and powerful force, often incorporating occult elements and the quest for “self” into their work. These are recurrent topics in Elden Ring.

Elden Ring features the environment as a significant character due to the presence of formidable foes like Rune Bears and the other breathtaking scenery found in The Lands Between. This sense of landscape can initially seem overwhelming, but after a few hours of play, it is another enemy to conquer.

Many have speculated that the man depicted here is wielding the Blades of Chaos from God of War; however, the artist is ambiguous, merely remarking that the similarity has been noted previously.

It’s not the first time fans have seen Kratos or the Blades of Chaos at Elden Ring, either; other gamers have been inventive in the past, and given the series’ and characters’ enduring popularity, I wouldn’t expect this to be the last. The PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S versions of Elden Ring are now available.
