Motive Studio is remaking Visceral Games’ modern classic horror game Dead Space from the ground up. In spite of initial misgivings, the footage we have seen so far reveals an amazing effort that looks incredible and is quite faithful to the original. No one should be surprised by the game’s high system requirements, especially if they’re aiming for 1080p and 60 frames per second. You’ll need a powerful graphics card and processor like the RTX 2070 and Ryzen 5 5600X to play the game at high settings. Both of these parts are very robust, so we can’t wait to see how they handle 1440p and 4K resolutions.
You need at least a GTX 1070, which is still a reasonably respectable GPU at this point, to play at 1080p on the lowest settings. The game requires 50 GB of space and 16 GB of RAM to install. The PC version of the first Dead Space took up about 12 GB of storage space, so the increase is significant but understandable given the high quality the devs intend to achieve.
