The MacBook is a series of Mac notebook computers created and marketed by Apple Inc., running on the macOS operating system since 2006. It was introduced during the Mac transition to Intel processors, a move announced in 2005, as a replacement for the PowerBook and iBook brands. The current MacBook lineup includes the MacBook Air (2008–present) and the MacBook Pro (2006–present). Under the name “MacBook,” there were two distinct lines available from 2006 to 2012 and then again from 2015 to 2019. Notably, by 2015, the MacBook brand had earned the distinction of being the “world’s top-selling line of premium laptops.”
Apple Scary Fast Event Highlights
At this year’s October event, aptly named ‘Scary Fast’ due to its proximity to Halloween, Apple introduced its latest MacBook Pro models. These new MacBook Pro models are now available for order on the Apple website and are set to reach customers starting from November 7. Among the offerings is an affordable 14-inch MacBook Pro featuring the new M3 chip, with prices ranging from ₹1,69,900 to ₹1,99,900. Apple asserts that the 14-inch MacBook Pro delivers a 60% increase in performance compared to the MacBook Pro equipped with the M1 chipset. However, the budget-friendly MacBook Pro is limited to two color choices – Silver and Space Grey, with the exclusive Space Black shade reserved for higher-end models. The 14-inch MacBook Pro, sporting the M3 Pro processor, offers two storage variants, priced at ₹1,99,900 for 512GB and ₹2,39,900 for 1TB. Both versions come with the same set of features, including three Thunderbolt 4 ports, an HDMI port, an SDXC card slot, a headphone jack, and a MagSafe 3 port.
